Students at Abbot Beyne School got dressed up to the nines for their Year 11 prom at Tutbury Castle on Friday, June 30.

Thankfully the rain held off for the glamorous teenagers and the group had a fantastic evening celebrating the end of their exams and saying goodbye to their classmates.

Some students wowed fellow pupils and teachers by rocking up to the prom in vehicles such as a Royal Air Force truck, a vintage Volkswagen bus and a Ford Mustang.

Alice Kenny, who arrived at the prom in style in a Mustang with her friend Izzy, said she was glad the group missed the rain and she had a fabulous time having fun with her school friends for one last time.

“The prom was a great chance to say goodbye to my school friends and teachers,” she said. “The DJ was brilliant and we had a great time dancing all evening."
