Police are on the hunt for a man sentenced to life imprisonment who has walked out of Sudbury Prison.

Anthony Crowley absconded from HMP Sudbury on Tuesday, May 22.

The 34-year-old was convicted at Snaresbrook Crown Court in January 2007 and was sentenced to life imprisonment for possession of a firearm and robbery.

He has been described by Derbyshire Police as white and clean shaven with very short dark blonde hair and brown eyes.

He stands at 5ft 8ins and of a slight build and has a tattoo of a dragon on his right arm.

Crowley is believed to have links to Essex, London and South Wales.
