Three men have been charged with possession of heroin and crack cocaine with intent to supply while near a Swadlincote fast food restaurant.

Kaddam Barker, Geary Palmer and Jordan Wilkin have been accused of allegedly dealing drugs near McDonald's restaurant, in Belmont Street, Swadlincote, and are due to appear in the crown court later this month.

Barker, 23, of Chartist Road, Washwood Heath, Birmingham, and Palmer, 23, of Parkhouse Drive, Erdington, Birmingham, are both charged with possession of a quantity of crack cocaine and heroin with intent to supply, and possession of a Class B drug, believed to be cannabis.

They are both also charged with possession of a quantity of cash believed to have been obtained by crime.

Barker is also charged with possession of a knife in a public place.

Meanwhile Wilkin, 23, of HMP Birmingham, is charged with possession of a quantity of crack cocaine and heroin with intent to supply.

They each appeared at Southern Derbyshire Magistrates' Court.

All three are due to attend Derby Crown Court on July 24 where they are expected to enter pleas.

Barker and Palmer answer unconditional bail while Wilkin has been remanded into custody.
