Drivers are facing long delays this evening after a two-car collision on the A50 near Derby and another nearby on the A6.
The A50 crash happened at 5.20pm on the westbound carriageway between the turning for the A6 to Derby and the A514 to Swarkestone Bridge
Highways England is reporting that the traffic is not expected to clear until 7.45pm and the crash is causing delays of 20 minutes.

Travel company Inrix says the accident on the A6 southbound near the junction for Alvaston is still causing problems.

'Avoid Snelsmoor lane'
Derby Telegraph reader Tina Baker has urged drivers to avoid using Snelsmoor Lane as a detour because it is already heavily congested with traffic.

Another separate crash on the A6 southbound is also causing problems. It happened at 5.55pm near the road’s junction with the A50 and is causing 30 minute delays.
