Losing a loved one can be an extremely distressing time for anyone. It’s vital for those going through loss or bereavement to express their feelings and talk to others about what they may be going through
Cousins Lesley Blockley and Richard Scotney, both from Burton, lost their partners within just nine months of each other.
After discovering that there were no local groups to support younger people who had lost a loved one, they decided to set up their own group to allow others to experience the same support they received from each other.
The meeting will take place at 7.30pm on Thursday, August 3, at the bar in the Riverside Hotel in Branston.
The group is not specifically for young widows, Lesley and Richard invite people of all ages who have suffered bereavement to come along.
