Not everyone is willing to give up their free Sunday to attend the birthday party of someone they may not know. But for these enthusiasts nothing was too much trouble and they volunteered their time to give John Wright a special treat to ring in his 70th year.
John was a member of the Burton Brewers in the 1960s so what a nice trip down memory lane it must have been for him.
His sister-in-law, Diane Siddalls, had only asked if the club could provide him with a single Lambretta on his big day. But instead, they pulled out all the stops to give their former member something he is likely to never forget.
