A site manager from a construction company has won the first round of the annual NHBC Pride in the Job Awards. Danny Easton, from Bloor Homes in Measham, has been recognised for his exceptional contribution in creating homes of outstanding quality. He is the site manager at the Alms Meadow development in Etwall.

This year, more than 16,000 site managers across the UK entered the National House Building Council's ‘Pride in the Job’ competition in hopes of getting their hands on one of 450 quality awards. The final winners will be announced in September.

Mr Easton will now join other regional finalists to compete for the seal of excellence and regional winner titles. In the competition, each site manager is assessed across 37 areas of site management, including their technical knowledge.

Commenting on his award Mr Easton said: “I am delighted to have won the first round of this prestigious award. I want to thank the dedication, work and commitment of my team at Alms Meadow.

"All Bloor Homes developments are built to the highest standards with a reputation for quality in all aspects, so to have received this industry recognition is indeed an honour.”

Alms Meadow is a Bloor Homes development of three and four-bedroom houses in Etwall.
