Thomas Spencer was born and raised in South Derbyshire and has now embarked on a successful singing career. He has recently released his second album, The Journey, with his brother Oliver, which was produced by Grammy Award-winning Humberto Gatica, and recorded in Los Angeles, Thailand, Prague and the world-famous Abbey Road Studios in London. Burton Mail reporter Helen Kreft caught up with the singer songwriter to chat about what floats his boat!

Favourite film or TV series? The last film I loved at the cinema was Logan and I'm late into Game of Thrones, which I'm hooked on!

Favourite takeaway? Easy. Pepperoni pizza. I love a good pizza.

Tell us one thing no-one knows about you? Not many people know that I'm a fiend at table tennis!

What’s your ultimate ambition in life? To never stop creating, to be lucky enough to have my own family where I can make music with my children.

Pet hates? People who litter!

What’s your favourite song? Impossible to narrow it down to one, I've got Coldplay's Everglow currently on repeat.

Marmite? Love it or hate it? Neither love nor hate it, but I don't eat it.

What’s your worst habit? Blowing my nose loudly. People say I sound like an elephant.

What was your first car? Toy Ferrari when I was five-years-old.

If you could make a law, what would it be? To make First Aid part of the school curriculum so everyone knows how to save lives.

If you could go anywhere in the world where would it be? LA. Most of my friends are there!

Who would you invite to a dinner party - dead or alive? Steve Jobs and Anthony Hopkins.

What would you do if you won the lottery? I'd do some nice things for some very special people who deserve to be helped. I'd also buy myself a place in LA and hire Roger Federer to work on my tennis backhand.
