Andy Garner expects Burton Albion to be "absolutely flying" in tomorrow's Championship clash with Queens Park Rangers.

The Brewers head to Loftus Road - where QPR are unbeaten in the league so far this season - with real momentum, having defeated promotion-hopefuls Fulham last weekend and with only one defeat to their name since losing at Middlesbrough on August 15.

Nine of the players who started that triumph over Fulham were rested from the starting XI at Manchester United in Wednesday's Carabao Cup clash, showing the depth and quality in the current Albion squad.

With many of those players likely to return refreshed to the team against the Rs, Garner is hopeful of seeing intent and intensity from Burton.

And after they secured their first away point of the season in their previous away game at Norwich City, the first-team coach says a first win on the road is the target this weekend.

"It was a fantastic result there last season," he said when recalling Albion's 2-1 triumph at Loftus Road in January, courtesy of goals from Luke Murphy and Lloyd Dyer.

"We're on the back of some form at the minute, taking the Leeds United game out of it, and with a brilliant performance against Fulham.

"We rested quite a few on Wednesday night, so we are really looking forward to going there on Saturday.

"We are expecting a very good performance as well.

"They've had their rest, the players, and they should be absolutely flying on Saturday.

"We are going there for a result, that is for sure.

"I always say that if you can't get a win then get a point, but we will be looking to go and win that game."

The recent goalless draw at Norwich City was built on a solid defensive platform in a 3-5-2 system - although Joe Mason and Jamie Allen both had good opportunities to break the deadlock for the Brewers as they threatened regularly on the counter.

A similar setup is likely at Loftus Road. And Garner knows they will look to take the game to QPR when they get the chance.

"Obviously you are dictated to by results, and going to Norwich City and putting in the performance we did, obviously we're doing something right," he added.

"Again, they're another good team, and to come away with a 0-0 is a fantastic result.

"The only thing that is missing is a goal. Again, we had a couple of opportunities.

"This is a fine line - we don't want to be a team just going there and defending and sitting back.

"We have got to get at them as well.

"No disrespect to Queens Park Rangers, but they are not flying at the moment.

"I think there is an opportunity there to be solid, but let's go and have a go at them as well and see if we can get a couple of goals."
