Burton Albion have been drawn away to Bedworth United in the first round of the Birmingham FA senior cup.

The date for the Brewers' trip to the National League south side - managed by former Bolton Wanderers defender Stuart Storer - is yet to be confirmed but will take place on or before Saturday August 28.

Bedworth finished 11th last term and won their first match of the season against Corby Town on Monday, ending a four-game winless streak in all competitions.

Albion have won the competition twice beating Brieley Hill 2-1 back in 1954, with their second success coming more recently in 1997 beating Tamworth 3-1.

Burton's last appearance in a final came in 2008 - a 5-0 loss to Birmingham City, who have been drawn away to Nuneaton Town.

Last year's winners and runners-up, Leamington and Wolverhampton Wanderers respectively, have been given byes through to the second round.
