Middlesbrough striker Rudey Gestede will not be heading to Leeds United this summer, according to Sky Sports .

Leeds reportedly made an approach for the Boro forward last week, but that will not be going any further as the Whites seek to replace the departed Chris Wood.

Wood left Elland Road last week to join Premier League Burnley in a £15-million deal, and Leeds will now turn their attentions elsewhere in their efforts to sign a new striker.

Nottingham Forest defender Thomas Lam could be set for a return to Holland, only a year after he joined the City Ground side from the Eredivisie.

The 23-year-old joined Forest on a free transfer from PEC Zwolle last summer, and the Nottingham Post reports that the Finnish international could heading to FC Twente on loan.

Lam hasn't played a single minute under Mark Warburton this term, having joined under previous manager Phillipe Montanier - and his last appearance came in the 5-1 defeat to Norwich City in February.
