Shrewsbury Town midfielder Louis Dodds is anticipating a physical battle against Burton Albion when the two sides meet on Saturday.
It will be League One Shrews' last pre-season friendly of the summer in a campaign that's already seen them beat Aston Villa - in former Chelsea man John Terry's first game for Villa - Wolverhampton Wanderers and Cardiff City.
For Albion, it is their penultimate test with only Leicester City left to face on Tuesday night at the Pirelli Stadium before the campaign's curtain-raiser on Saturday week against Cardiff.
The Brewers have played eight pre-season games so far, with the only test against league opposition coming against AFC Wimbledon - which resulted in a surprising 3-0 win for the Dons against Nigel Clough's men.
And Dodds, formerly of Staffordshire neigbours Port Vale, is expecting the Brewers players to play a physical game at the Montgomery Waters Stadium.
“I think it will be similar to Cardiff in the fact that they will be up for it”, Dodds told the Shrews' website .
“I think it might be a little bit more physical that the Villa game and the Wolves game because of the type of players they are and the type of team they are.
“We’ve got to approach it like we have the last few games and hopefully put in a good performance and get minutes under our belts."
