The wait is finally over, Burton Albion fans. The Brewers' kit for the 2017/18 season has been released today and it looks the part.

But how does it fare against previous versions? You can view a selection of Brewers kits in the gallery above, from the strip they wore for that heroic effort against Manchester United in the third round of the 2005/06 FA Cup to the shirt that was there all the way throughout their most recent Championship success in 2016/17.

Sticking with the yellow body from last season's iteration, this year's version opts for a black band across the shoulders, with a built-in badge across the midriff and complete with black shorts and black and yellow socks.

Adult supporters’ shirts will carry the Tempobet branding after the club renewed its deal with the betting company, while junior shirts will continue to feature Burton Albion Community Trust in accordance with betting rules.

The club will showcase the new kit on Tuesday night in the club's final pre-season match of the summer against Leicester City, having worn last term's shirts so far.
