Nigel Clough says he does not know exactly what challenge Burton Albion will face when they take on Norwich City tomorrow (7.45pm).

The Brewers' fourth away game of the Championship season takes them to Carrow Road, with Clough's side still looking to get off the mark on the road following Saturday's 5-0 defeat at Leeds United.

The Canaries, meanwhile, have taken six of their seven points so far this term on home soil - and they are still finding their feet under new head coach Daniel Farke.

With new signings aplenty as well, Clough believes Norwich could be somewhat of an unknown quantity for Burton.

But the Brewers boss is still very aware of the threats his players will have to nullify if they are to secure that elusive first away point tomorrow night.

"I think Norwich will be a little bit (unpredictable) as well - I don't think they've hit form yet," said Clough.

"They had a good win on Saturday at home. With a new manager coming in in the summer, they've had more upheaval than Leeds have.

"Leeds just seem to have strengthened - they had an excellent season last time out and I think they've just added four or five good players and have taken it on again.

"I'm not sure Norwich have done that, but they're still waiting for some of their signings to hit top form as well.

"It could be interesting, I'm not quite sure what we'll face tomorrow."

Albion's trip to East Anglia is their second of three games in a week against sides who finished in the Championship's top eight last term.

"It's a big week - for us, it was always going to be, with the standard of the teams we're playing," added Clough.

"On Saturday we are playing Fulham, who I think are probably the best side in the Championship.

"And we're going to Norwich, who are more than capable.

"You look through their side and they've got Murphy, Oliveira, Hoolahan, Wildschut.

"They have an awful lot of threats on the pitch, and we've got to try to contain them and then offer something going forward ourselves."

One man who could do just that for Burton is on-loan Huddersfield Town winger Sean Scannell.

Albion are waiting to see if he will be ready for another game so soon after playing an hour at Leeds on Saturday, having yet to reach full match fitness.

John Brayford and Stephen Warnock - who made his return from injury at the weekend - are in a similar position, according to Clough.

"They should all be good to go, it's just whether there's any injuries or knocks from those who haven't played very much," said the Burton boss on the state of his squad.

"I think we're looking at John Brayford, Sean Scannell and Stephen Warnock.

"They are the main three and we will see how they are.

"It's great we've got Luke Murphy back involved - he'll certainly play.

"It'll pretty much be the same squad, just with Luke Murphy back in.

"And the three, we'll see how they are after training today and see how they feel."

Hope Akpan is likely to miss out as he steps up his recovery from an injury sustained in training before the international break.
