Burton Albion have signed Luke Murphy on a season-long loan deal from Leeds United - and it would be a fair assessment to say that the signing has gone down well with Brewers fans.

A key and consistent performer after joining on loan in January, the 27-year-old constantly put in important shifts as a holding midfielder on the way to the Brewers' Championship safety in their maiden season.

Murphy made 18 starts and scored one goal - in the 2-1 January win over Queens Park Rangers - and became an instant hit on the Pirelli Stadium terraces.

It means the signing has gone down well with Brewers fans, who are looking forward to see Murphy strut his stuff for a full Championship season this time.

Leeds fans, meanwhile, have had their say as the midfielder - who still has two years to run on his deal at Elland Road - heads back to the Pirelli.
