John Terry is set to sign for Aston Villa on Monday, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Ex-Chelsea man Terry's contract expired last month, making him a free agent - and he has reportedly rejected around 10 offers to join the Championship side.

The former England captain will join Villa on an initial 12-month deal, worth £60,000 per week, with bonuses taking the package up to an annual salary of £4 million.

Terry is understood to have spurned proposals from clubs including Galatasaray, West Bromwich Albion and Swansea City to join Steve Bruce's promotion charge this term.

Wolverhampton Wanderers are expected to break their transfer record to land Portuguese midfielder Ruben Neves, according to the Express and Star .

A fee of £15 million has reportedly been agreed with FC Porto - and all that remains are for terms to be agreed with the player before the move becomes official.

That fee would take Porto's spending total under owners Fosun to an estimated £47 million in the year they've owned Wolves since taking over last summer.

Wolves have already broken their transfer record twice in that period, signing Ivan Cavaleiro for £7m last summer and then Helder Costa for £13m in January.

Andre Wisdom is set to complete his move from Liverpool to Derby County today, more than two weeks after the Rams officially announced his move was done pending a medical.

The Derby Telegraph is reporting that the deal will be confirmed today, after the Rams squad flew out to Tenerife for a week's training camp.

The fee for the 24-year-old, who can play at either right-back or centre-back, is understood to be around £2 million but could rise to £4.5 million.

There had been concern from Rams fans around the possibility of the deal falling through, but it is understood that is not the case and it will be confirmed later today.

Sunderland reportedly face competition from north-east neighbours Middlesbrough for the signing of Everton winger Aiden McGeady.

The Chronicle are reporting that Boro currently lead the chase, with new boss Garry Monk tasked with guiding the Teeside outfit back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.

But Simon Grayson's arrival at Sunderland from Preston North End could tempt McGeady to the Stadium of Light after the Everton man enjoyed a productive loan spell at Deepdale last season.

Preston's interest means that the price could rise slightly to the £2 million already quoted, but that shouldn't be a problem for the Black Cats - who are also aiming for an immediate return to the top flight themselves.
