Fulham have lodged a bid of £15 million for Newcastle United striker Dwight Gayle, according to the Shields Gazette.
Leeds United are also said to have enquired about the availability of Gayle - who hit two of his 23 goals last term in the 2-1 victory over Burton Albion in December - as they seek a replacement for the departed Chris Wood.
It is understood that Newcastle are holding out for around £20 million for Gayle after signing him for £10 million from Crystal Palace last summer, and any deal for him to leave St James' Park would be dependent on the Magpies securing a replacement before tomorrow night's transfer deadline.
Nottingham Forest midfielder Ben Osborn is a target for East Midlands rivals Leicester City, according to The Sun.
The Reds are said to want £10 million for the academy graduate - who has made more than 100 appearances for the club and has started every match so far this season.
And the Foxes are reportedly said to be planning a bid for the winger - who boss Mark Warburton hailed as 'oustanding' last week, saying he also has "no doubts about his quality."
