Fulham's Scott Parker has announced his retirement from football. The veteran has called time on a career that has spanned 20 years and included spells at Charlton Athletic, Chelsea, Newcastle United, West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur.

He was also capped 18 times for England between 2003 and 2013.

Bolton Wanderers are set to sign Sunderland winger Will Buckley on a free transfer upon the expiration of his contract with the black cats.

The 27-year-old spent last season on loan at Yorkshire outfit Sheffield Wednesday, but was mainly used when rotating the squad, making only 12 appearances.

And HITC Sport are reporting that Buckley's next destination could likely be at Bolton.
