Former Nottingham Forest striker Matty Fryatt is training with Burton Albion ahead of the 2017/18 season.
The 31-year-old - who left Forest at the end of last term - has not played a Championship match since March 2015 due to recurring Achilles problems.
He has spent time working on his injury rehab at St George's Park and has now taken part in the Brewers' early pre-season sessions in the past few days at England's National Football Centre, where Albion have been put through their paces since Thursday.
Fryatt is a proven goalscorer at Championship level, with 59 goals to his name from 228 second-tier matches - but his last was in February 2015 before that long lay-off.
It is understood that Fryatt is not officially on a trial at this stage with Burton - but he could yet feature for Albion when their friendly schedule begins next week at Kidsgrove Athletic (July 12).
Last summer, several trialists - Jay Tabb, Hyuga Tanner and Steven Davies among them - played in some of the Brewers' early friendlies, including the 3-0 July win over Stoke City.
