Sunderland look set to retain Didier Ndong - for a while longer at least - after negotiations with Italian top flight side Torino reportedly broke down.

The Black Cats had accepted a bid in the region of £6.6m for the Gabonese midfielder, who spent time on loan at Premier League side Watford last season.

But according to the Chronicle, Torino have now moved onto other targets after reportedly failing to reach an agreement over the player's pay.

Ndong has also been the subject of interest from fellow Serie A side Atalanta, with Sunderland looking to sell the 23-year-old following their drop into League One.

Elsewhere, Charlton Athletic are ready to listen to offers for England under-20 centre half Ezri Konsa and Northern Ireland striker Josh Magennis, according to the South London Press and Mercury.

Konsa has previously been linked with Premier League sides Everton and Brighton & Hove Albion, while Magennis - who scored 13 goals last season - has a year left on his contract with the London club and was reportedly the subject of several bids from Championship side Bolton Wanderers in January.
