People of all ages got together in Barton under Needwood this weekend to join in activities at the Argos family fun day.

The annual event, now in its seventh year, was held on Saturday, August 5, at Holland Sports Ground, in Potters Way, from noon until 4.30pm.

Organised for staff working at the Argos national distribution centre, in Barton, the event was also open to families in the area to pop along to enjoy the fun.

The day, which raised money for theMacmillan Cancer Care charity, included an It’s a Knockout-style competition, funfair rides, inflatables, craft and trade stalls, llama rides, classic cars, food and drink, a licenced bar, charity stalls and games.

Last year, the event raised just shy of £4,000 for charity and this year organisers hoped to increase that figure, once all monies have been counted.
