A huge range of alcohol will be available to try at a festival which is being held in Burton next month. Merchants of Mercia is hosting the Mercia Festival at the National Brewery Centre, in Horninglow Street, on Saturday, September 30.

The festival, which was originally due to be held on Saturday, August 5, will include drinks such as Fifth Spire Gin, Nelsons Gin Distilleries, Shropshire Spirit Company, Half Penny Vinyard and Ales from Heritage, along with 50 whiskeys available to purchase.

There will be live acoustic artists performing from 11.30am to 6pm. VIP tickets are available which includes a Glanmorangie engraved tasting glass and a 25ml of 10-year-old measure. Discount 25ml tasting tokens can also be purchased with VIP tickets.

Visitors are invited to explore The National Brewery Centre Museum for free. More live acts will be performing between 7pm and 10pm, and DJ sets will close the night from 10pm to 1am.

Tickets cost between £7 and £28 and are available from The National Brewery Centre. Children have free entry with an accompanied paying adult.
