A Uttoxeter coffee house which has been closed for two months looks set to open next week under new ownership following a huge refurbishment project.

Bosses expect Hohm Coffee and Bar Ltd to open in the old Indulgence building in Market Place during the week starting Monday, July 16.

Joint owners and father and son team Sam and Simon Webster say customers "won't be able to tell it's the same place," following the refit.

Sam, 24, said: "After considerable investment and an almost two-month refit - and literally everything is different - we're planning on opening the week commencing July 16.

"Which day, we're not 100 per cent sure sure yet, but we expect it to be next week.

"We've got a new bar in place, new seating, new tables, new flooring and we've invested in bench seating downstairs, as well as a breakfast bar.

"So first and foremost we're going to be a coffee shop, with a lot of our focus on the coffee.

"We're going to offer more than one type of espresso, so there should be enough choice for everyone.

"Our excellent coffee will come from rotating roasters.

"We've also taken a while to source our teas so we can put together a really good offering in that respect as well.

"I'm equally passionate about both tea and coffee."

As well as catering for lovers of the bean and the leaf in equal measure, Hohm will offer an exciting range of soft drinks.

Sam, who used to manage BEAR Coffee Co, in High Street, said: "We'll be offering craft sodas that I'm really excited about, as well as a handful of other speciality drinks.

"They haven't been easy to source, but it's definitely been worthwhile.

"Also on the menu are a handful of smoothies and milkshakes."

And customers will a love for alcohol will also be well catered for.

Sam said: "We're licensed so we've got a daytime cocktail menu as well as a small selection of wines, craft beers and gins.

"In terms of food we're keeping things really simple.

"It's just a small food menu with a focus on quality, but we've also invested quite importantly in this area.

"We're really excited about what's to come."
