Fancy getting your hands on some free chicken? Well if you will be getting your A-level results later this month then you are in luck.

Everybody's favourite chicken restaurant, Nando's is giving away either a free piece of chicken or a free starter to anyone who visits on A-level results day armed with their results paper and official ID, regardless of their results. That’s right, whether you get an A or a U, you will be entitled to a free bit of peri-peri food.

A-level results day is on Thursday, August 17, and students must spend £7 before the A-level offer kicks in, and they are then able to get a free quarter of a chicken, or a 'firestarter' – a smaller dish to prepare your stomach before the main meal comes.

Alex Marsh, manager at the Nando's restaurant in Burton's Middleway Retail and Leisure Park has confirmed that they will be offering free chicken on the day.

Mr Marsh said: "This is something we do once a year of A-level results day. It's a national thing. All A-level students with any photo ID can come in and get some free chicken."

Some Nando's fans may have been hoping that on Wednesday, August 23, the restaurant would follow up their A-level tradition by offering free food to those receiving there GCSE results too. However, Mr Marsh confirmed that this would not be the case: "No, unfortunately it’s just for A-levels at the moment."
