Several products from Asda and Lidl stores have been recalled because they could contain fragments of glass.

It is not known if the products were sold at Asda in Burton or Lidl stores in Burton and Swadlincote.

The Food Standards Agency says that Peter's Food Service Ltd has recalled several baked meat and pastry products because they may contain fragments of glass.

An agency spokesman said: "If you have bought any of the products, do not eat them. Instead, return them to the store where they were bought for a full refund.

"Point of sale notices will be displayed in all retail stores that are selling these products. These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the product. No other Peter's Food Service Ltd batches or products are known to be affected."

The products can be returned to any store and a receipt is not needed.
