Finishing touches are being put to Burton's newest late-night venue ahead of its official launch tonight, Thursday, April 13.

'Big dog' Tim Westwood will be playing at Allure , in Station Street, on the opening night from around midnight, to celebrate its big launch.

The £250,000 makeover has seen the building, which was previously Brown's, stripped bare and given a complete new look.

There are now two bars, a DJ booth, a photo booth, foyer, a cloak room, and the capacity is now around 700 people.

Co-owner Reece Duncan, from Burton, is hoping the club will put the town's nightlife on the map for good, and will help bring more people to the town.

Speaking to the Burton Mail, he said: "For too long, there hasn't been much going on in Burton at night and we think it's time to change that.

"That's why we're really investing in quality, because we want to do something huge for Burton."

After the official launch on Thursday, April 12, it will open each night on Friday, Saturday and Sunday as revellers head to the club to let loose on the Bank Holiday weekend.

Rather than the typical chart music fare, the club will be specialising in hip hop, grime, R&B and dancehall, and the owners are looking to bring some more top-quality names to the town in the coming months.
