If you're looking for a clothing bargain, everyone knows ones of the places to go is Primark. From the latest fashion trends to cute trinkets from our favourite Disney films, it is among the one-stop shops for everything you need.

However, there seems to be a bit of a divide over how to pronounce the budget store's name, with arguments between those who call it "Pr-eye-mark" and those who call it "Pree-mark".

So Primark, which has a store in Burton, has decided to end the debate once and for all, answering the question on its website. And the answer, says the store, is .... "Pr-eye-mark".

It's always best to call the shop the same name as the staff do, says Primark on its website.

Top mispronounced brands

And it turns out that it's not just Primark that customers struggle to pronounce.

Nutella

The popular hazelnut chocolate spread is another brand that is pronounced wrong, with many thinking it is called "nuh-tell-uh", while it should actually be pronounced "new-tell-uh".

Adidas

Many think the popular sports brand is pronounced "ah-di-das", but bosses say it should actually be pronounced "ah-dee-das".

Ikea

Numerous people call the popular Swedish furniture store "eye-key-ah", but it should really be said "ih-key-yah".

Nike

Adidas isn't the only sports brand that fans struggle to say the name right. "Niyke" is the most common pronunciation, whereas "ni-key" is how it should actually be said.

Porsche

It seems luxury car brands aren't exempt from not being pronounced properly. Porsche should actually be said "por-sha" instead of "poorsh". It turns out Joey from top TV sitcom Friends was right all along!
