Founder of the event and Burton’s-own Adam Cornes has spoken of his excitement of continuing to bring the musical event to the town where he lives.

Mr Cornes said: “I have been hosting events showcasing the next generation of singers and bands all over the UK for the last four years. As a Burton resident I now want to focus on local artists as well as bringing other talented and headline performers to the town.

“BurtonFest is an exciting project that will hopefully grow each year and become an amazing annual event.”

The National Brewery Centre has been described as “an excellent site to hold the event”, mainly due to the main stage being sat outdoors. A large marquee will be set up to feature live indie and rock bands, with an ‘acoustic box’ being set up to be surrounded by festival stalls, merchandise tents, outdoor bars and fairground attractions.

Planning Solutions Limited run the National Brewery Centre and managing director, Annie Horne explained that ground-breaking events such as this can only be good for the town.

She said: “This is a fantastic new event for Burton and we are very pleased to be hosting it in partnership with the creator, Adam Cornes. It really will have something for everyone and will be a great day of live music.”

Tickets are available priced £20 each. A group booking of four tickets will cost £60 and can be purchase online here or by calling 01283 532880.
