A harvest lunch is set to be held in a South Derbyshire village hall later this month.

St Mary's Church, in Newton Solney, is hosting the event at the village hall, in Repton Road, starting from 1.30pm on Sunday, September 24. Organisers said that it will include a raffle, "good food" and "good company".

Those who attend are asked to bring their own drinks for the occasion but the glasses will be provided.

Tickets cost £10 for adults and £5 for children aged 12 and under and are available from Hazel Ward on 01283 701244.

All of the money raised from the event will be donated St Mary's Church, in the village.
