Driver fined after crash flung a cyclist in the air
A 56-year-old woman was fined after a crash in which a cyclist suffered a broken leg.
An investigation is underway after arsonists are believed to have set fire to a disused farm building in Uttoxeter.
The fire happened in the evening on Tuesday, August 8.

Mitchell Bird, of Cedar Road, Castle Gresley, has been jailed for the fourth time after he admitted driving while disqualified just days after his release from prison for a similar offence.
Accident on M1
Delays on the M1 southbound have been caused by an accident involving three cars.
This was previously reported as a broken down vehicle.
One lane is still closed as the incident is dealt with.
Heavy traffic on M1 near East Midlands Airport
One lane has been closed on the M1 southbound at junction 24, close to East Midlands Airport due to a broken down vehicle.
The lane closure is in the roadworks area of the carriageway.
Swadlincote woman suffers burns and is scarred for life after having black henna holiday tattoo
A woman has revealed her summer of hell after a spur-of-the-moment henna tattoo left her arm burned and scarred. Chloe Goodwin, 20, from Swadlincote, went on holiday with her family for two weeks earlier this summer to Sunny Beach in Bulgaria.
While walking along the sea front in Sunny Beach, Miss Goodwin decided to have a temporary, black henna tattoo of a flower on her left forearm.

Eagle-eyed motorists may have had to look twice at one particular temporary road sign in Swadlincote which seems to have created a whole new county.
Drivers and residents passing along Darklands Road, Swadlincote, may have noticed a large yellow sign warning for a road closure from 6.30pm to midnight.

An A-levels results night event at a Burton nightclub may be under threat after plans to extend the club’s opening hours to 6am were criticised by police.
Staffordshire Police claims it has been called several times to Allure, in Burton’s Station Street, to reports of disorder or assaults, one of which involved a 16-year-old boy on the premises.
Dash-cam footage could hold the key to finding out how woman died on the A38
Police have issued a fresh appeal for information after the body of a woman was found on the A38 in Derbyshire last week, Thursday August 3.
Officers from Derbyshire Constabularly are now looking to speak to anybody who drove down the main road on Thursday night, with a dash-cam in their car, after police were called to a stretch of the southbound carriageway between Ripley and the Coxbench turn-off. When they arrived, officers found the body of a woman close to the scene. The identity of the woman has not yet been released.
Customers confused after being told Burger King in Uttoxeter is not serving beef
Burger King is a fast food chain that has built its reputation on the simple principle of serving tasty beef burgers.
Its signature creations, including the Whopper, Bacon Double Cheese Burger and Big King all rely on succulent cuts for their trademark taste.
However, hungry customers at the firm’s Uttoxeter branch were today left “bemoosed” after being told they could not be served beef.
Slow traffic on the M1
On the roads today there is slow traffic on the M1 northbound between junction 24 A with the A50 Derby, Stoke, East Midlands Airport and junction 25 with the A52 Brian Clough Way.
This is because of an earlier accident and all lanes have now reopened.

Burton resident John Anderson took these snaps of the homeless camping out in undisclosed areas across the town centre, to highlight the growing problem facing those on zero hour contracts or a relationship breakdown.
