Fire fighters help cut man free from car in Burton
Crews from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue have cut a man free from a car on Forest Road, Burton after a collision with a van left him trapped by injuries.

Slow traffic on A511 Horninglow Street causing delays on Burton roads
There is traffic slower than usual on the A511 Horninglow Street in both directions between B5018 Hawkins Lane and Hamilton Road.
Temporary traffic lights causing very slow traffic in and out of Burton
There are slow delays on the A444 Woodland Road in both directions between Piddocks Road and Woods Lane in the roadworks area due to temporary traffic lights. This is causing very slow traffic in and out of Burton.
Accident on A38 causing congestion for motorists
An accident involving two vehicles on the A38 southbound is causing congestion this evening.
The incident took place at the A61 Derby Road and B6179 at Watchorn Island.
There is congestion up to the M1 at junction 28 for Alfreton and Mansfield.
One car is on the hard shoulder, the other is blocking lane two. Police are on the scene.
It is not yet known if anyone is injured.

Police have named the man found dead in Stretton as Francis Lovelock, aged 64. He died from ahead injury and his death is being treated as suspicious.

A popular fish and chip shop in Swadlincote is frying high after being recognised with the National Federation of Fish Friers Fish and Chip Quality Award.
Andy’s Fish Bar in Church Gresley is owned by husband and wife Chris and Elena Constantinou, who are both third generation chip shop owners.

Sheffield Cycles, in Station Street, Burton, has closed its doors, says a sign on the window. The shop has been cleared of stock. However, it is still running a repairs and a warranty collection service.

Two incidents on M1 cause havoc for commuters
The M1 northbound has seen two incidents between junction 28 and 29 this morning.
One incident has been reported involving one car and a second was later reported involving a lorry and a car. It is not known if anyone has been injured.
