Broken down vehicle on M1 causing problems for motorists

A broken down vehicle on the M1 northbound is causing problems for motorists this evening.

The incident took place between junction 24 for the A6 / A50 / A453 for Kegworth and East Midlands Airport

Lane one of three was closed. There is slow traffic but reports say this has not been helped by extra delays caused by roadworks in the same area.

Delays on bus routes in Burton

Midland Classic has said that the 1630 service 402A from Uttoxeter to Burton will be delayed due to a breakdown.

Users can expect to be delayed for around 30 minutes while a replacement bus is sent out.

The company has apologised to bus users for any inconvenience.

Burton's Linda Grimes jailed after breaching Criminal Behaviour Order for the SIXTH time

A 49-year-old nuisance neighbour with a long history of antisocial behaviour has breached her court order for the SIXTH time in less than a year.

Linda Grimes, of Calais Road, Burton, has now been jailed having found herself back in court after she was caught breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order for a sixth time in just 10 months.

Car stopped on the A38 near Burton

A car has stopped on the A38 near the Toyota roundabout, heading towards Derby, this morning. Two paramedics from an ambulance parked nearby were seen speaking to driver of the car at around 8.15am.

What the weather has in store for us today

Don’t forget the rain coat are we are warned to expect some outbreaks of rain today, which will get heavy at times. It will be cloudy and breezy for most of the day but it should feel warm still.

As we head in to the night the rain will ease and it should become drier. However, in the early hours forecasters have said it will turn damp again with rain and drizzle.

Temperatures will reach highs of 17C and lows of 13C.
